Marriage & Relationships

We all have some experience in marriage or relationships and some of us would like to express our opinions, frustrations, share what we have learned in relationships, are we really in love or just together out of convenience for the kids, money, companionship and who knows what else.
Is your significant other happy with where you both live?

"I'm not moving from Couer d'Alene, Idaho, I love the hills, trees, rain, people and lakes. I've lived in the S.W. for over 40 years and now and welcome the change". We both agreed on this move and now things are different. But, in November of "06, the rains came and kept coming. 3 days of sunshine out of 30. I finally saw the light, so to speak, and we decided to move further south to the Denver mountain area. Summer was great, then the snows came and kept coming. Our property faced the north and the snow & ice never melted. We both agreed on this move and now things are different. After 1 year, we moved back to Albuquerque and now our outlook on things are so much better. How many of us live in an area that we like but, in an area that our significant other hates?

Not many people can just pick up and move. You must not have kids, and what about work? When you made a decision to move to Idaho then Colorado then NM, didn't you think things out? I would like to live closer to my family, but my hubby is too darn stuborn. I've been working on him for a couple of years now and figure I have a couple more to go. Sooner or later he's going down! He's the one that's happy right now and it's my turn.

Hi Penny,

Sometimes, the grass seems greener on the other side. It just depends on what type of person we are. We followed our hearts at the time, later realized a mistake was made but, learned a little and grew from the experience. It takes two to be happy in a strong relationship. Stuborness just doesn't work with us, we're both too darn stuborn.
